Hey !! Is = singulier et are = pluriel ce qui donne :
2) There are a lot of restaurants. (= il y a beaucoup de restaurants)
3) There is a hospital. (= il y a un hôpital)
4) There is a swimming pool. (= il y a une piscine)
5) There are two cinemas. (= il y a deux cinémas)
6) There isn’t a university. (= il n’y a pas d’université)
7) There aren’t big hotels. (= il n’y a pas de grands hôtels)
